Chicory Tip
1. I like bubblegum glam/pop, especially when it's written by Giorgio Moroder. More on him later, I'm sure.
2. Again, on Top of the Pops, they're doing an "air band" show.
3. The synthesizers in their songs are the greatest.
4. British glam fashion is amazing.
5. And now, on their kinda sad website, you can literally phone them and get them to play a gig. http://www.chicorytip.net/

Top Albums of 20 years ago!
Even though they came out 20 years ago, and the bands associated with them kept going, churning out some rubbish afterwards, the best stuff I was listening to about 18 years ago is as follows:
Stone Roses - Self Titled
Charlatans UK - Some Friendly
Blur - Leisure
Inspiral Carpets - the Beast Inside
I think they sill hold up, in spite of what some of these bands (Blur, I'm looking in your direction) turned into. And they all put out nearly equally wicked second albums (except Blur's. Not even close). Then I don't care for what they did after that. I don't know if many people will agree with me in regards to Inspiral Carpets, but whatever, I was like 12. Howcome bands on Top of the Pops never plug in their instruments?
And I think I listened to Shonen Knife too, bu that's just embarrassing.

PXL2000 Pixelvision
Daniel Clowes
It all started when I was a kid, reading Cracked magazine. Occasionally, there was a comic called the Uggly Family within it's pages. Now, all the internet seems to have on the subject of that family is bad merchandising, like coffee mugs and underwear.
Also from that publisher is Basil Wolverton. One of my faves as well.
A while later, Eightball Comics were printed. They had some bizarre and hilarious comics within, including all of the graphic novels he's since released, like Ghost World and Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron.
Then I had a series of compilations of instrumental "strip" music from the 50's and 60's. He did the cover for volume 4.
A song from one of those comps:
And here's his crap for sale now:

Jehovah's Witnesses
Found an interesting link today. It basically proves that by their own definition and using their own published words, that the Jehovah's Witness religion is completely false.

Now it's just a matter of fixing the groupthink problem.
Their publications have great illustrations though.
