Daniel Clowes

It all started when I was a kid, reading Cracked magazine. Occasionally, there was a comic called the Uggly Family within it's pages. Now, all the internet seems to have on the subject of that family is bad merchandising, like coffee mugs and underwear.

A while later, Eightball Comics were printed. They had some bizarre and hilarious comics within, including all of the graphic novels he's since released, like Ghost World and Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron.

Then I had a series of compilations of instrumental "strip" music from the 50's and 60's. He did the cover for volume 4.

Also from that publisher is Basil Wolverton. One of my faves as well.
